Join the band for a fabulous Friday night that is always the celebration to end your week and open your weekend - made better for this gig because is it the anniversary of Mendelsson’s first concert in 1818. They have received a stack of awards including ‘Band of The Year’ at the MBAS Victorian Blues Awards
Had success with a Blues/Roots chart-topping album “Dirt on Velvet”.
Smashed it at the Broadbeach Blues Festival.
And now coming to Semaphore Workers Club cooking up a stew based on dirty electric Blues, Roots and R&B of the early sixties, with splashes of Country balladry, Gospel, Americana and Rock n Roll, you get the full flavour, their sound displays the music evolution of this great mainstay act.Popular across Melbourne's local scene they are a sought-after crowd-pleasing headliner at festivals and events from their home base of Melbourne.

StoneHutt  music is founded on the passion and experience of a group of talented songwriters, musicians, and friends from the deep south of the island continent (Kaurna country / Adelaide).   StoneHutt plays an original and unique blend of honest rock, folk rock, and alt country with lashings of fine vocals and harmonies. The songs are stories from city streets, prints on riverbeds, carvings in the trees, graffiti on the walls, boots on the road, and records of time and place. The songs reflect the musical and social landscape of the times.

StoneHutt’s newly released debut album ‘Watershed’  is garnering strong support nationally from critics, audiences, and community radio networks. Watershed was produced by ARIA award winning guru Matt Fell, and recorded at Wilder Studios in Tasmania, and mastered by Grammy Award winner William Bowden.

It’s a Sunday!

I’m not telling you what to do.

Back in early May we had the Beinke Brothers Band playthe Red Stage - with the bonus of Geoff Achison.

Well they are back!

Geoff is an internationally renowned guitarist/singer/songwriter who first came to prominence playing incendiary lead guitar with Aussie blues legend ‘Dutch’ Tilders, before striking out on his own with his all-star group ‘The Souldiggers’.

He then established himself as a formidable solo act on acoustic guitar.

Recently, in 2023, Geoff joined 70’s hitmakers ‘STARS’ on lead guitar, contributing a tasty solo on their single ‘One More Try’, and featuring on the ‘live’ album ‘Paradise.

It’s a big CV.

The Beinke Bros Band is made up of blokes from the Eyre Peninsula - they are a great export to the Adelaide music scene.

Playing a unique blend of rich, jammy blues/country/rock'n'roll you get the mainstay of (talented Beinkes) Leo, John and Rob plus Craig Fraser on drums.

Opening the night is Ville Karvonen, a Finnish born Adelaide based musician. Bluesy guitar, velvety vocals, studied lyrics.
63 Deluxe are a modern blues trio with original tracks, funky rhythms and a rock edge. This band brings energy to the stage.
Kathleen O’Halloran is the 3rd of this triple header - a guitar slinger with swagger.

Live music always makes for a good finish to a Sunday

Easy & The Hustlers make a very welcome return to the Semaphore Workers Club.

This is a band of brothers like no others who will present an outstanding selection of some songs - old, some songs - new, some songs- borrowed, and somr sublimely blue.

Come along as these guys bring new life into rhythm'n'blues, funk, soul, and gospel classics.

Once again we have a band to deliver a suburb Sunday Session with grit, passion, grooves and harmonies magic.

This will be a great evening of acoustic guitar playing where you get Nick Charles AND Don Morrison AND Amin & Lachlan on the same bill at the Semaphore Workers Club.
This is a Saturday night show which highlights three talented acts that have not appeared on the same bill previously.
From Victoria we present Nick Charles, who has been a professional musician for 45 years playing across Australia & throughout the world, including 13 US tours and has shared the stage with Jon Hammond, Ralph McTell, Guy Clarke, Taj Mahal, BB King.
Over his career Nick has won just about every award/accolade Australia has to offer and while competing at the 2025 INTERNATIONAL BLUES CHALLENGE in Memphis Nick won the Best Guitar player soul/duo category - this guy is talented!
Joining the night is Don Morrison who started his musical career as a harmonica player before moving to stringed instruments - which is good because Don writes beautiful stories that, when combined with music, become enthralling songs and if he was stuck playing harmonica getting those words out would have been more complicated.
Committed to taking music to the world Don is also a renowned lutherer making metal bodied resonator guitars as well as banjos and mandolins, at last count Don has made over 500 instruments. So he knows acoustic guitars
Don will be representing South Australia at the 2026 INTERNATIONAL BLUES CHALLENGE being chosen by the Adelaide Roots & Blues Association as our entry in the solo/duo category.
Amin & Lachlan will open the night - this duo is up and coming Adelaide talent via the ARBA Youth in Blues program. They play an enjoyable style with covers and original tunes. A treat to experience.
